NAMI Lehigh Valley is the leading valley-based membership organization composed of families, friends, professionals, and people with mental illness. NAMI is dedicated to improving and empowering the lives of people who must cope with these brain disorders. Founded in 1983 by a small group of family members, NAMI Lehigh Valley continues to grow and network in our community.
Our organization and membership actively combat the discrimination and inappropriate stigma associated with mental illnesses, by educating the public and the media to “Open Your Mind. Mental illnesses are brain disorders.”
NAMI’s educational program of public awareness and advocacy has achieved national recognition.
